ad.firstadsolution....

I've tried to kill this thing for a few days now. I found other posts on this site, but I guess I need advice specific to my log. Please help. I know I go into safe mode, disable system restore, but...what do I need to do with hijackthis?

Your help is appreciated

ok first we will use hjt, then boot into safe mode to look for a file or two and run ewido.
first please disable ewido guard if active by exiting/disable with the icon by the clock. this is so hjt can make the changes, when done you can restart it.

you use juno as your internet provider?

also to show all files do this:
FOr XP: on the desktop double click my computer,go to tools>folder options>view> then select "show hidden files and folders", then UNcheck "hide protected operating system files " also UNcheck "hide extensions for known file types" click apply to all folders, apply then ok

scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

might want to paste/copy this to notepad and save it so you can read it in safe mode

ok time to boot into safe mode and see if you can find and delete the 3 files. hjt is capable of deleting files so they may be gone.

the path:
C:\documents and settings\ begins with COREKI (a user)\Application data\
a folder named>>16bold and one named 4JOY

the third is:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
a folder called>>cool setup user does

if found please delete the folders.

ok still in safe mode, run ewido and save the log file somewhere so you can find it if needed. reboot normally, rescan with hjt and post anew log
