mandian virus

was hit with a mandian virus. browsers locked up. ff and ie. I downloaded spyhunter because they offered a way around the virus to download. I ran a scan and paused for reflection. then I read on your forums that spyhunter may not want to be the clean up program to run. the scan log didn't show the virus as a threat.

q1. is spyhunter a mistake?

q2. will spybot work to remove this vrus and if so how do I go about it?

It might be best if someone takes a look at the system, if you take that route please follow instructions in the FAQ to produce the DDS and aswMBR logs used for analysis, start a new topic and someone will advise when available. :) If the infection prevents you from running DDS and/or aswMBR please start a topic anyway and make note of the situation providing details of the computer's current symptoms.
