Hi all
Just run S&D and it's come back with the following error message after selecting to remove the files:
Unexpected error in fixing problems.
(Cannot create file: "C:\Windows\winnit.ini". Access is denied)
I've been looking around and cannot find anything. Can anyone help out out.
Device is Toshiba Satellite C668, Windows 7 64bit
Thanks.
Hello Stokkers,
Did you elevate Spybot's permissions? How can I get administrator rights under Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8? (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=55946)
Best regards, :)

h Hi Tashi
I've always opened S&D with Administrators Rights. I read somewhere that running AVG could cause problems, so I disabled it and ran S&D again. I also cleaned up the registry. I then ran S&D again and the list of problems was reduced to one problem -Win.32.Downloader.gen, I just cannot find it anywhere

Hi Tashi
Thanks for your reply. I've always opened S&D with Administrators Permission, but I did read some where that if I use AVG, then I should disable it whilst I use S&D. I also did another clear out on the Registry, which I did. I then ran S&D again and the amount of problems I had on the original sweep, was reduced to one. This one, Win.32Dowmloader.gen, I still couldn't remove and I could not find it on my lappy. I doubt if I shall be bothering about it tonight, as Liverpool are playing Fulham in the EPL and I need my lappy for that. LOL :)

If you'd like someone to take a look at the system you could start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.
If you decide to do that see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS and aswMBR logs, which are used in the preliminary analysis.
