Hi
I have Windows 7 Home Premium and I received a suspicious pop-up. I ran a full scan from my Norton anti-virus protection and it did not find anything. Then I ran Spybot S&D 2.2 with administrator privileges and it found a whole bunch of bad files and it was able to clean all but 1 of them. It would not clean Win32.Downloader.gen.
(default) C:\Users\Royal\AppData\Local\Conduit
I repeated the Spybot scan and received this same message: 'Spybot Search and Destroy could not clean these entries in 3 attempts. We will continue to try so. Do You still want to be informed about the results?'
I restarted my computer and a different pop-up showed up that said:
'There was a problem starting
C:\Users\Royal\AppData\Local\Conduit\BackgroundContainer\BackgrounContainer.dll
This specified module could not be found.'
I am not sure if this file is bad or if it is something I need to keep. I am not a computer geek and am not sure what to do.
Thanks!
