I have NEVER KNOWINGLY downloaded spyware stormer;
however, for the past month I have found it in my registry only when scanning with spybotSD 1.4. I fix the problem with sd but 2-3 hours later it is back. For the last week now i'm finding casale media along with spyware stormer.
Where did it come from and HOW DO I GET RID OF IT (it's letting so much crap into my computer!)

the recurring main files are:
SpywareStormer: Root class (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\InetCtls.Inet

SpywareStormer: Root class (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\InetCtls.Inet.1

SpywareStormer: Class ID (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes\CLSID\{48E59293-9880-11CF-9754-00AA00C00908}

Hello lulubell3,

If you still need help, and you didn't read the stickies as advised by pskelley, please do the following:

* Click here (http://www.thespykiller.co.uk/files/HJTsetup.exe) to download HJTsetup.exe
Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Thanks,
tea

Hello,

First off, I see 3 Anti Viruses installed. You should know that you're actually doing more harm than good by running 3 Anti Virus programs. (Norton, AntiVir, and AVG) When you do this all 3 programs compete for resources, and the end result is none does it's best and can cause system instability. I recommend that you choose the one you want to keep, update it, disable the other ones, and use them as an on demand only scan occasionally.

Reboot your computer after the scan finishes. Report anything bad it finds, and post a new HijackThis log please. Also let me know how your computer is running.

Thanks,
tea

Im Glad we could help
Since the problems are solved Im going to close the topic now, this keeps others with similar problems from posting there logs/question here, they should start a new topic.
If you should need to post another log for the same PC let one of us know via a PM (personal message).
