Hi there,
Can someone help me, I keep getting the Norton Anit-Virus warning message saying it's found a virus, tells me to perform a scan (which I do) and says it has been removed. 30 mins later I get it again. Here is my Hijackthis log file - Hope you can send me in the right direction, Thanks:

rename the HijackThis.exe to something else ... jaffa78.exe if you like ... then run it again (hijackthis will still run) then please post the new log ... there is malware which hides from hijackthis unless you rename it, & I think you may have some...
1. Please download silentrunners from here :-
http://www.silentrunners.org/Silent%20Runners.zip
2. unzip to your desktop
3. double click on the VBS file (If your AntiVirus alerts, allow the script to run.)
4. Once finished, the script will save a Notepad document to your Desktop.
5. Copy and paste the contents of that text file in this thread.
Then ...
paste this into the address bar and click GO
C:\WINDOWS\system32
Go to > View > arrange icons by > modified
scroll down to the bottom of the page...
Do you see a recent file similar to this winwly32.dll ...win***32.dll ?

No sign of dialer kotu in your logs either...
However the renamed hijackthis and the silent runners show a vundo trojan...
Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
1. Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
2. When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
3. Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
4. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click "YES".
5. Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
6. When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click "OK".
7. Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
If vundofix cannot delete a file, it will try to delete it during a reboot, after the reboot vundofix will open again, you must run vundofix again, from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" ... and you must keep running vundofix untill it does delete the file... I've known a stubborn vundo file take 5 or 6 reboots before it is deleted...

Do not worry if you see a BLUE SCREEN "Fatal Error" Message, it is normal and expected.

In the mean time I ran a system scan using ewido and found a dialer.bt virus which it quarentined for me.
Question for you: Can having these dialer virus's using broadband cost you any money on your phone bill???. There is no dial-up modem connected, so I would have thought it can't, do they just mess around with your connection?????
