View Full Version : Cannot find scan result
I've been running Spybot for a few months now. Recently, I ran a scan which gave me 1 result. When I clicked to see the result, the page was blank - no detail on the result. I contacted Spybot support, who advised me to update to 2.3. I did, and ran the scan again. Instead of taking the usual 3 hours or so, it took about 50 minutes, however the results are exactly the same - 1 result, no information displayed for it. My computer is very laggy, and Firefox and other programs are often unresponsive. Support suggested I post here for help. I would appreciate any advice you are able to offer.
Cheers,
Marg
There was somebody else on the forums that only had one scan result that they couldn't view, but I can no longer find the post.I thought it was a fairly recent post, but I'm already back to 2013 and don't see it. :)
Could you open Spybot-S&D Start Center, checkmark Advanced User Mode, click Report Creator, then click Show logs, open the Checks logfile with the date of when you did your scan(example:Checks.140502-0144.txt),go to Edit, select all, then rightclick and copy, then paste the logfile here?Maybe it will show what was found after the scan.

After receiving the message with no results x 4, I ran the scan tonight with no issues. All seems to be fixed, thx Zenobia for your willingness to help. :)
Cheers,
Marg
You're welcome.Glad it's working now.
Is your computer running good now? :)

No, it's running like a dog to be honest, has been for a while now. I've developed a Runtime Error (217) I'm hoping to get rid of in a scan I'm running atm. The FF unresponsiveness began before I had the error, so guess I'll have to wait and see what happens. Fingers crossed. :)
Cheers,
Marg.
Runtime Error (217) isn't necessarily caused by malware, but I'm seeing in a few places that it's sometimes possible it can happen when there is a malware problem.
Besides that,I see there's sometimes a service related to Jotsey present when it's installed, and it's not in your Spybot logfile. It may have been removed previously, but still....probably wouldn't hurt to ask for help in malware removal. :)

I get the runtime error when I try to use Adobe Flash Player. Spybot support suggested to reinstall it. When i tried, I received the following error;

That might just have been a one-time error,so you might want to try reinstalling adobe flash player again. :)
Interestingly, I noticed a Norton shortcut icon on my desktop, that I assume came with the Adobe install, (though I could be wrong). After uninstalling Norton, the Adobe problem seems to be resolved. No more popups, and videos now play without having to reinstall. Unresponsiveness seems to have gone, and my computer has regained its speed. YAY!!
Thank you for your help, much appreciated. :)
