Hello pbrowning,
I had iola take over my computer and they said I have 57 viruses that are called browser hijackers. I seen the name of a lot of them and they are called Babylon something. they want me to pay them a hefty sum of money to get rid of them. will spybot get rid of them or do I need to use another program?
Is this the Babylon Search toolbar which is a potentially unwanted program but not technically a virus. What program is asking for money to get rid of malware, it sounds like rogue or ransom ware.
In order for some one to advise they'd need to take a look at the system.
To begin this process please start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.
First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.
