I couldn't find anything in the forums on the search.iminent.com virus that doesn't want to go away. I have run a couple of systems and deep root scans to no avail. Has anyone rid themselves of this virus? Please help. Thanks.

search.iminent.com is a toolbar usually bundled with free software from download sites easily found on the net.
Certain free programs may contain additional (unwanted) software so it is important to pay attention to the End User License Agreements (EULA) during the installation and choose the Custom or Advanced installation option if it is offered to avoid the unwanted software also being installed.
It may resist being removed so it might be best if someone takes a look at the system. :)
Please start a topic in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.
First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.
