The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Ad.DiscountDragon" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Ad.DiscountDragon uses the Crossrider framework to install ad-supported web browser plug-ins.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "Discount Dragon".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Discount Dragon\Chrome\Discount Dragon.crx".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Discount Dragon\Chrome\Installer.log".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hakhkaeielkhkblhahccoanmajfmckph\1.21.30_0\crossriderManifest.json".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\background.html".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\ButtonUtil.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Discount Dragon.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Discount Dragon.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Discount Dragon.ico".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Discount Dragon.ini".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Discount Dragon-bg.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Installer.log".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon\Uninstall.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Ad.DiscountDragon uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hakhkaeielkhkblhahccoanmajfmckph\1.21.30_0".
The directory at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hakhkaeielkhkblhahccoanmajfmckph".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Discount Dragon".

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110111271151}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110111271151}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110111271151}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{21111111-1111-1111-1111-110111271151}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "{22222222-2222-2222-2222-220122272251}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "Discount Dragon" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry value "Discount Dragon-bg.exe" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION\".
Remove "<regexpr>hakhkaeielkhkblhahccoanmajfmckph. " from registry value "1" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome\ExtensionInstallForcelist\".
