The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Ad.GiantSavings" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Ad.GiantSavings uses the Crossrider framework to install ad-supported web browser plug-ins.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "Giant Savings".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "Giant-Savings-ExtensionGui.zip".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Giant Savings\Chrome\Giant Savings.crx".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings Extension.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings ExtensionGui.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\giant savings.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings.ico".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings.ini".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant Savings-bg.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant SavingsGui.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Giant SavingsInstaller.log".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Giant Savings\Uninstall.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Ad.GiantSavings uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110011441179}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110011441179}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110011441179}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{22222222-2222-2222-2222-220022442279}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{44444444-4444-4444-4444-440044444479}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "215 Apps" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstalledBrowserExtensions\".
Delete the registry key "Giant Savings" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Installer" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Giant Savings\".
Delete the registry key "Log" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Giant Savings\".
Delete the registry value "215AppVerifier" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Crossrider\".
Delete the registry value "LogFilesFolder" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Giant Savings\Log\".
Delete the registry value "WriteHelperLogFile" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Giant Savings\Log\".
