I had a massive attack by look2me amongst other viruses. This started a long process with different tools and different fixes to get rid off all different kinds of viruses and malware.

Anyways now the computer seems ok, only it does not boot.
Works in safemode, but under normal boot the login-screen never appears. Just the blue background with a working cursor. Could I have lost something important in the cleaning-process? I checked with HijackThis, wich said c:\winnt\lsass.exe was missing, even tho lsass.exe did infact run under safemode.

I tried to copy the lsass.exe from $NtUpdateRollupPackUninstall$, but that didn't do much. Do you guys see something in my HijackThis-log that aint there, that should be? Or do you have other theories about my login-screen disapearing?

Sincerly, Rune.

Hi

Your using safe mode with networking ?, thats very dangerous, dont unless absolutly neessesary.

I assume you have ran an updated antivirus while in safe mode ?
It appears you do not have an antivirus program, why is that ?

I checked with HijackThis, wich said c:\winnt\lsass.exe was missing, even tho lsass.exe did infact run under safemode.

Im not entirly sure what you mean, Isass should be in the system32 folder

Do you have a windows installation cd ?
It doesnt appear you have SpyBot either ?
