The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "BetterSurf" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
BetterSurf displays advertisement in browsers and creates advertising pop-ups while the user is surfing.
Removal Instructions:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "Webexp Enhanced".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hnjaijlhmnnjcojifangnieddcmphpii\1.1_1\icon.ico".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hnjaijlhmnnjcojifangnieddcmphpii\1.1_1\images\Thumbs.db".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\hnjaijlhmnnjcojifangnieddcmphpii\1.1_1\manifest.json".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WebexpEnhancedV1\WebexpEnhancedV1alpha15\ff\chrome.manifest".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WebexpEnhancedV1\WebexpEnhancedV1alpha15\ff\install.rdf".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If BetterSurf uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TrustMediaViewerV1\TrustMediaViewerV1alpha".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\TrustMediaViewerV1".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\WebexpEnhancedV1".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If BetterSurf uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{18d12218-4c81-4a56-987a-c42ab65e5eda}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{18d12218-4c81-4a56-987a-c42ab65e5eda}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{A8F0915B-16E2-4EC3-B1F6-EC39157CEE1F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{F9CB09EE-8A4F-4E64-A2FF-E6A07E67D84F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "hnjaijlhmnnjcojifangnieddcmphpii" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Google\Chrome\Extensions\".
Delete the registry key "Webexp Enhanced" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "Webexp Enhanced" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WebexpEnhancedV1\".
Delete the registry key "WebexpEnhancedV1" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
If BetterSurf uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
