Hello all,

I was wondering if someone could advice me with this problem I have,

I went to my mates house and he had no anti-spyware installed on his computer. I downloaded spybot and ran the programme. I found about 9 things to delete and without reading them I deleted/fixed them.

Later that night he rang to say that when he boots his computer up he gets two message errors. Both are "could not load ***** due to missing module" or similar to that and the two files missing are mwsbar.dll and cmicnfg.cpl.

I have checked with a site about removing Mywebsearch bar and it states that you should check with add/remove programmes and delete Mywebsearch then run spybot. I have checked with the add/remove and it is not listed, also it is not listed in the C:Programmes folder, I have run spybot again but it detects nothing.

Could someone please advice me on what to do, also what are the files mwsbar.dll and cmicnfg.cpl and what is their roles?

Thanks in advance
