The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Ad.GoHD" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Ad.GoHD installs a toolbar and browser helper objects (BHO). Ad.GoHD uses the InstallMoon and Crossirider framework to show advertising.
Removal Instructions:

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\background.html".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD.ico".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD-bg.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD-bho.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD-buttonutil.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD-buttonutil.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\GoHD-codedownloader.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\Uninstall.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD\utils.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Ad.GoHD uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\GoHD".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Ad.GoHD uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify folders!

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110611211180}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{11111111-1111-1111-1111-110611211180}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{16c147d1-7769-40e1-a601-be3abcfbb601}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "{44444444-4444-4444-4444-440644214480}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{55555555-5555-5555-5555-550655215580}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{5e3c27ac-12c1-487d-89ec-51cd0892cb6b}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "{66666666-6666-6666-6666-660666216680}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{d991d37d-73f8-46f4-bd55-7fb6ee34baed}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "GoHD" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "InstallMoon" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstalledBrowserExtensions\".
Delete the registry value "GoHD-gb.exe" at "HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\featurecontrol\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION\".
If Ad.GoHD uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

There are more registry entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.
