The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "PU.RidSpyware" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
PU.RidSpyware installs a spyware removal and prevention tool. A user must register to get the full functionality for the license fee of EUR 31.95 per annum (April 2015). The Crawler Group, LLC offer seamless services with automatic renewals each month.

Removal Instructions:

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Quicklaunch symbols named "Rid Spyware.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpyware.exe".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "RidSpywareShield" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpywareShield.exe".
Entries named "RidSpywareUpdater" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpywareUpdate.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

A file with an unknown location named "driver.cab".
The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\lng.ini".
The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\RSW_CPL.xml".
The file at "<$COMMONDESKTOP>\Rid Spyware.lnk".
The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Rid Spyware\RidSpyware.com.url".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\Driver\driver.cab".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\Driver\sp_rsdrv2.sys".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpyware.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpywareShield.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RidSpywareUpdate.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RSW_Svc.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\RSWShell.dll".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If PU.RidSpyware uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\Down".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\News".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\Quarantine".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\Reports".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\Shared".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware\Update".
The directory at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Rid Spyware".
The directory at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Rid Spyware".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\Driver".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware\Tools".
The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Rid Spyware".

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "RSWShell.RSWShellMenu", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{55801C3F-5581-477B-A21B-2BF3B996BEA6}_is1" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\".
Delete the registry key "{665C8FCF-2640-488F-930B-8F5F1939A6DE}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{DB076190-0265-40C2-8652-32B4A9E84108}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "Clsid" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\RSWShell.RSWShellMenu\".
Delete the registry key "Rid Spyware" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "Rid Spyware" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "RSW_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "RSW_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "RSW_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
If PU.RidSpyware uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

There are more registry entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.
