Dear All,

I'm new to the forum, pardon my ignorance as I am not really a techy. My problem started about a week back after doing a forced shut down on my desktop, a message popped up saying 'Aplog.exe error' - I wasn't able to take a screenshot but if it happens again I will take a screenshot. After the message I could not run any exe. files, even the command would not work. I searched for a solution using my laptop, I searched for 'Could not run Exe. files in Windows 7 and followed the instructions, I downloaded exe-fix-twc. It worked but sure enough after a few days it was back and much worst, I started getting a LogonUI.exe error. Again I tried the same workaround and it worked again. I am not sure what triggers it, my desktop is also directly plugged in, I only used a router 2 days ago. I installed Webroot Secureanywhere but it could not find the problem. I did several scans with Spybot and and rootkit scan today, but nothing came up. Please help, I will provide you with more details if needed. My last resort is to format my Desktop, which I would rather not do.

Thanks and regards,

Wil
