Definite infected computer and can't update AV for Spybot

Hi all, would really appreciate some help please.

I'm running Spybot 2.4 Home Edition on Windows 10 with administrator rights
Antispyware will update
Antivirus will start but always finishes with the following message

"[02:08.421] [-] Failed to download updated Spybot 2 antivirus signatures!
[02:08.421] [-] The antivirus update failed to download files!"

I only have Windows Defender on and I have tried the BDCore.exe update as well. I currently can't scan my computer and definitely currently have some sort of virus on here.

Any suggestions? Kind of annoying to encounter this in a paid-for program that's been around for so long.....

Not being able to update does not necessarily mean the computer is infected. :)

I only have Windows Defender on
Defender includes an anti virus in Windows 10, since you installed Spybot +AV is Defender still running?
