View Full Version : Dialer Problem

unconditional
2006-09-13, 05:06
Recently I have been having troubles with what I think is a dialer. I don't use dial-up anymore but the box for connecting to the internet with dial-up keeps appearing. I've run ad-aware se and spybot search and destroy, but the problem is still happening.
Panda got this log for a dialer
Dialer:dialer.su Not disinfected hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\Switch

Hey,

Switch isn't on the list anymore since I uninstalled it. The network connection box still comes up every once in a while. Also, a couple of days ago I ran Ad-aware SE personal and it found a virus/ or a trojan. I wasn't sure of what I was doing so I quarantined and deleted the log, so I'm not sure of the name. So is my log clean of any malware? Oh yea, I also uninstalled logitech desktop manager to make it look cleaner. Thx for the help.

It doesnt seem like there's a problem anymore. The network connection box hasn't popped up in a while and that was the only problem that I noticed. But you say its clean. I'll say something if it happens again. Thx for the help, you people do a good job with helping everyone.

Hey lonnie. I don't know if this is a malware related problem but I just had a problem with my computer. It seemed like the left button on my keyboard was being continually pressed, but my keyboard was off. It wouldn't stop until I restarted my computer.

Is that happening frequently ?

unconditional

it was happening frequently at the time I posted, but it hasn't happened as of late. I guess its nothing to worry about since you said my log is clean. I've been running Spybot S&D and ad-aware and they both come up clean. The network connection box doesn't pop-up consecutively like it used too. It pops up the most when I visit ESPN.com, even though it never did that before. I did find a virus/trojan on my computer in the process of trying to fix the network connection thing and Ad-aware took care of that. I guess there's nothing left for me to do, unless you want me to do something. Thanks for the help.
