Spy-Bot Use, Question

Hello Everyone,

I installed latest version and set it up. My question is,

1. Do I need to have the program running in order for it to work?
2. Or once I have set it up does it keep my protection on with out having to run it again?
3. Or do I need to have it auto-run when windows starts? I could not find any section on the program that gives me the option to auto-start and run with windows.
