View Full Version : Unknown Browser Profiles? Possible Virus?
I got a message stating that I had 3 out of 6 browser profiles blocking third party cookies. I clicked to disable them, and I found three browser profiles that I do not know:
S-1-5-18-{ED1FC765-E35E-4C3D-BF15-2C2B11260CE4}-0
S-1-5-19-{ED1FC765-E35E-4C3D-BF15-2C2B11260CE4}-0
S-1-5-20-{ED1FC765-E35E-4C3D-BF15-2C2B11260CE4}-0
Does anyone have any idea what these are?
Hello Tykune,
You got a message from where? :)

When I click to scan my system, I get the message below where it asks to clean temp files. At first it said 3 of 6 profiles were blocking third party cookies, and these kind of just appeared out of no where so I have no idea what they are. So I decided to block them as well, and sought to get advice or info here on what they were.

Windows 7 and I am using Spybot - Search & Destroy 2.4, Home User Edition
Would it help if I listed all the profiles?
Hi Tykune,
Perhaps you could provide a screenshot? :)

The browser profiles seem to have mysteriously disappeared.. I am not sure why. But now half of my physical memory is being used constantly, and I am not sure why...
Showing processes from all users has shown that I have about 12 svchost.exe listed, which I am not sure if that is normal.

Please see this (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/what-is-svchostexe-and-why-is-it-running/) article at How-To Geek.
Hope that helps. :)
