Scan time: Spybot 2.4 vs. 1.62

On the same pc I was getting full scan done in 40 minutes with Spybot Free 1.62 but after updating to Spybot Free 2.4 the same full scan on the same pc now takes 65 minutes. Have other users also experienced this slower scan speed with version 2.4 versus 1.62? Is there any explanation why newer version is so much slower?
