Hi,

I have spybot, and avast and when i run avast my laptop which is an HP and is running Windows 8 it comes up as clean even with full scan, but when i run spybot everything is clean as well. but when i run spybot root kit.

its red flagged my system showing \??\C:\Boott! s

it shows type: folder
Object: \??\C:\Boott! s
Location: C:\
Details: Invisible to Win32
Action Taken: I have deleted it.

But when i scan it shows up again, or when i reboot and scan it show up again.

What is it ??

Hello SkyGarden, :welcome:

The RootAlyzer is an analyst tool. In general all items found by the RootAlyzer are not necessarily malicious, sometimes even legitimate software uses rootkit technologies.

How is the computer running, any particular reason you ran a scan looking for rootkits?

Best regards.
