We will need to disable TeaTimer
1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
5) Restart your computer.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - (no file)

O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-ABCDEFFEDCBA} (Java Plug-in 1.5.0_06) -

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Download and install Ewido. Then scan and post the report here.
Instructions and download link can be found here (http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=3165).

Hello Guys

Tarheel use the Post reply rather tha new topic button

Ive lost tract, you have a thread going at TC's (Tom Coyotes) also ?

Summerize for us the question's and problems you have ?

Hijackthis is still in a temp and not unzipped and tea timer is still running, turn it off..

First Make a new folder, example C:\AntiSpyWare
and download/Save HijackThis, to that new folder.
This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
Double click HijackThis.exe, Hit None of the above, just start the program.
Hit Scan When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.

To: LonnyRJones: I think I pressed the Add Reply button. I had a thread at TC;s, but Tashi had it closed. I got an email from little eagle, and I replied to him. I haven't heard back from him, but I did hear back from Tashi. I think Tashi closed the HJT at this forum. So, I went to TC's forum. I purposely went into Spybot S&D, turned off the tea time in Tools-Resident. I stopped the PC-cillin Antivirus 11, attempted to download another HJT Log, but could not get it to work. So, I sent little eagle a message and the the information I had. Hope this explanation will suffice. Thanks for your concern.

Hello Tarheel

To clarify,

Your helper little eagle discovered you had also posted over at TC so he closed the topic here.

I made a note of that in your topic at TC; I did not close your topic at TC.

However the person who answered you over there was made aware of the situation; having two helpers at two sites working on one problem is at the very least confusing.

little eagle resumed trying to assist you in this forum after you started another topic.

Best wishes

Tashi, I received your email stating that the assistance over at TC Forum had been cancelled. I assume Little Eagle will help me with this. If my assumptions are incorrect, please let me know. Thank you.

No email was sent by me; you are probably referring to an email notification when daveai posted at TC to say he had closed the topic:

Double click HijackThis.exe, Hit None of the above, just start the program.
Hit Scan When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button. Press that, save the log somewhere, and please show us its contents.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.

Have been trying to connect to thread: [http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=7373&goto=newpost], but have been unsuccesful. Sir, I did not ignore your previous post; I answered you. My personal settings were changed and to even follow a link from an email becomes weird. I have the logs from yesterday (Sun., 09-17-06), I have all the information you would need to help me, but am encountering unusual rerouting of information I send to the forum. I sure hope you receive this message. Several of my messages have not reached the recipients they were intended for. Tarheel

Tarheel, Becouse of our lack of comunication i think you should take the pc to a local computer shop...I would have to concur. Your inability to follow simple and basic instructions, would make it hard if not impossible to help you fix this PC.
