You could open a support ticket:

You ought to mention that error code in your email (Error - 2108), along with the antivirus update problem.

I have same Home version 2.5 on three HP Laptops. One downloads and processes AV updates. Two give Error -2108. Turned in ticket; but no joy yet. Let me know if you hear first.

Finally found a solution to Error -2108.
Identify all anti-malware/antivirus software programs currently loaded on computer. (Some get piggy-backed on other downloads.)
Except for the programs you actually use, uninstall all of the programs identified above.
Temporarily disable the programs you do use.
I had to login using my VPN. If you have one, use it.
Update Spybot; then reactivate protection.
Have not yet heard back regarding my service ticket.

I won't hear first, support is entirely separate from me here. They probably have a list of those error codes, though, so maybe they can tell you more about it when you do hear back from them. I'm glad you were able to get updates. :)
