Hello , Every version of SBSD I have ever installed seems to have an incomplete warning box that comes up. The box has a place to tick to remember a decision. The box looks a little funky in that the word "decision" is cut off a little and there is also another box to the right that says nothing. When ticking the remember decision box , It never does anything. It doesnt remember a decision. I have installed and reinstalled SBSD time afer time to resolve this issue to no avail. Right now the conflict is w/ Avant Browser , I just cant stop SBSD from freaking out every time I open Avant. I have stopped Avant from checking about being the default browser. I dont have any known conficting other software but adaware which is only the free version scanner. Thanx

There is currently a bug in TeaTimer 1.4. Portions of TeaTimer's popup dialog overlay the "Allow change" and "Deny change" buttons. On my system the very top edges of the "Allow change" button (on the left) and "Deny change" button (on the right) are showing and I am still able to select the options. I also can check "Remember this decision" since it is visible. If no portion of the "Allow change" and "Deny change" buttons are showing, you can answer TeaTimer's popup dialog (English language version) by pressing "A" on your keyboard for "Allow change" or "D" for "Deny change". Note: If you close the dialog without answering "Allow change" or "Deny change" the registry change is denied.

If you can't deal with the problem that way until it is fixed, you can:
Apply one of the workarounds found in the following pinned (Sticky) thread that fixes the pop-up dialog so the buttons are visible:
Solution to fix the pop-ups in TeaTimer
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=122

There are three (3) fixes published in that thread. They are:

The ResHacker fix published by ElPiedra (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=128) here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=423&postcount=1
The murdo (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=440) patch published here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=775&postcount=9
Also republished by RuggeR29 (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=7292) (which I have never tried) here:
http://www.fureyonline.com/downloads/patch.zip
The patch originally by SyreneD (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=1735) that I published here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=2670&postcount=38
Also republished by SyreneD (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=1735) himself here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=23575&postcount=125

Disable TeaTimer as follows:
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > Resident.
Uncheck the following:Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of over-all system settings) Active.

********************

Notes about the patches (b. and c. above):
If you installed Spybot in the default location:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy
The following patch (c.) defaults to that location:
The patch originally by SyreneD (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=1735) that I published here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=2670&postcount=38
Also republished by SyreneD (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=1735) himself here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=23575&postcount=125
If you use this patch (b.) you have to navigate to the correct location (See Note #1) unless you execute the patch from within the "C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy" folder:
The murdo (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=440) patch published here:
http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=775&postcount=9
Also republished by RuggeR29 (http://forums.spybot.info/member.php?u=7292) (which I have never tried) here:
http://www.fureyonline.com/downloads/patch.zip

Note# 1: To the right of the Target File (TeaTimer.exe) there is a button that looks like "[ . . . ]". Click on that button, navigate to the correct folder, click "Open" and then "Start".
********************

Once the display problem is fixed, please indicate if you are still having other problems.

My Avant browser adds the rightclick menu options every time I open it,and removed them when I closed it.Using the 'Remember This Decision',just made Teatimer notify up the side of the page(I get it when opening and closing Avant.)I wonder if you're getting the same thing? My log:

9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Add to AD Black List" (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!
9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Block All Images from the Same Server" (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!
9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Highlight" (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!
9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Open All Links in This Page..." (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!
9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Open In New Avant Browser" (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!
9/21/2006 7:27:24 PM Allowed value "Search" (new data: "") added in Browser menu extension!

I just went to Tools->Avant Browser Options...->then Category,Right Click Menu, then over to the right unchecked everything, clicked Apply,OK,and restarted Avant, since I don't use Avant much and didn't think I'd really use rightclick much.
Nothing else worked, because it seemed like Avant added those menu extensions every single time I opened it,and removed them everytime I closed it,and I couldn't find any other Options in Avant to stop it.

(Though I think I do remember not getting those prompts from Teatimer when I first got Avant, and started getting them when I changed something in Options, but whatever I changed,I cannot find it anywhere now.)

Thanx , I dont know how to do that log thing. Yeah I guess maybe I will have to decide if i dont mind all the pop ups reassuring me spybot is letting a change through or if i can live without a right menu. I guess i wont use avant all the time , although it is a fast browser. I can live w/ all the temporary pop ups when I close it. Thanx

Yeah though I think it was a similar log except I wasnt just getting the side pop ups , I got the ugly big grey one in the middle as well . I got both every time I opened it. Now since I fixed tea timer , it doesnt say decision anymore , it say allow. Now I just get the side pop ups when i close avant. Those pop ups all say now though that they are allowing a change. Tx

The side pop-ups all probably say Allowed change when closing Avant browser,if you Allowed the change(s) with Teatimer when closing Avant browser, and then checked 'Remember This Decision.'That makes the decision automatic, and that's okay,so long as you don't mind seeing the Teatimer notifications going up the side of the screen.
If you ever want to look at your resident.log, the easiest way is to rightclick Teatimer, and select Show Log.That shows the decisions you've made with Teatimer.

When I click in the "OK" button in the Avant Browser (http://www.soft82.com/downloads/Windows/Avant_Browser) Options window
the address bar, the search bar and the standard bar arrange themself in the same line, I don't know how to solve this problem.

You can try the new version of Avant Browser (http://www.rosoftdownload.com/download/Windows/Avant-Browser), who work very well for me.
