Remove Virusblast

Junior pc user installed imesh, have found icons in status bar never there b4.
One in particular is symbol ? changing to red circle with line in it always talking about Critical System Error. Seems to be virusblast, have run Spybot S&D and its still there. How do I remove this pesty little :spider:

Are you indicating that Spybot did not find Virusblast or it did not remove it?

If Spybot is detecting Virusblast but failing to remove it, make sure you are running with the latest updates (2006-09-15). There are also two things that you can try to get rid of problems that Spybot-S&D is having difficulty removing:
Try to run it the next time you reboot.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Settings > look for "System start" (located half way down the page).
Check the option: "Run program once at next system startup".
Reboot the system.
Run it in Safe mode.
Reboot your system in Safe mode and run Spybot-S&D.
If Spybot-S&D is not detecting the problem or still fails to remove it using the two methods above, consider posting in the Malware Removal (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) forum and having someone take a look at your system.
