I downloaded spybot and before installing I scanned it at virustotal which is telling me it is infected with TrojanDownloader.Win32.Agent.7240. I can't find anything about that particular trojan so I'm thinking this is a false positive but I've been bitten before so I thought I would check here before installing.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply.

Newbie here so please bear with me.

I'm guessing another sign this was a false positive is that I could find nothing on the exact name of the trojan: TrojanDownloader.Win32.Agent.7240?

Also when these scanners say something might be infected because sandbox emulation took a long time & packers were detected, what does that mean?

For example another file said, "Packers detected: WISESFX DROPPER". I'm assuming "packers" are used on lots of files but when I searched for WISESFX DROPPER all it turned up is a lot of HiJackThis logs. Why isn't there someplace that will simply tell what it is and why it is being found in a particular file?

thanks for everyone's time & help,
