I received a new computer but must be honest I do not know what I need to install for a safe online experience. I am submitting my form for the Home addition +AV tonight, I currently have AVG free installed but do I need more? Do I need encryption and if so from who, what kind? I may be asking for a miracle but is there a way to know I can shop online and not have my credit cards and identity stolen? I promise your answers will help me and I am sure others have the same questions unless everyone who visits these forums is an advanced user, I am not.

You could check out this article on How-To Geek. It's basic and sensible:
https://www.howtogeek.com/337939/lock-down-your-tech-with-these-new-years-resolutions/

I see avg free has real-time protection now. Since you're getting Spybot + AV and you have AVG free, you should choose one real-time protection to run, and disable the other one. This is a snippet of tashi explaining that to someone on the forums:
https://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?74531-Incompatibility-between-SB-2-5-licensed-and-Kaspersky-2017-on-windows-10&p=475733&viewfull=1#post475733

And this is the News section of Spybot, which tells about specific things happening with Spybot, but there are also News items there about cookies, and the hosts file and Spybot immunization, and also links to youtube tutorials that are specific to Spybot. There's an articles tab there, also, over to the right:
