Appear to have a redirect virus (bing or "search3489.. something).

Windows defender can't see it, Malware bytes didn't see it. Malware bytes is now off.

Installed Spybot for first time, Install went well using admin privileges. But download of spyware signatures is hung again at: File "spybotsd2-install-iefreezefix.exe" needs to be downloaded.

I'm attaching update log, with some of the middle cut out because it was too large to be uploaded.

Have a meeting but will be back here at 3PM central. Any advice appreciated.

I found these posts via Google:
https://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?74286-Spybot-freezing-at-post-install-update
https://www.safer-networking.org/faq_category/spybot-2/updates-2/

And got the basics to start working. But that particular file may not be there. Also windows gave me the error that others had about Windows not knowing if the updates were installed properly or whether they needed compatibility mode.

Still hoping for some feedback.

Thanks,
Pete

Bing is Microsoft's search engine, could you provide more details please. :)

Which browser are you using and what is the operating system.

Best regards.
