View Full Version : spy bot up date problems
Update does not install, this repeats repeatedly. I have removed the program, started the PC again downloaded the free 2.7 and the same things happen. Windows 10 and 7 have the same problem.
HOW DO I GET THE UPDATES INSTALLED?

You could update the antispyware definitions manually. That should get things started, at least. From the website:

You can manually download the antispyware definitions using the instructions below.
You can download the manual update file from here (https://www.safer-networking.org/updates/files/spybotsd_includes.exe).
When you run this file, it will ask you to select a folder.
Please select the Spybot program folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2
Or on a 32-bit/x86 system:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2
The files will be added to the "Includes" folder within the Spybot program folder.
Unfortunately it is not possible to download the Antivirus definitions manually.
