Fix Selected never ends

All Spybot functions load and run as normal ... except Fix Selected. It runs and runs and runs ad infinitum. It run fine in the past but lately ...

I have restarted and run Free Spybot first thing - no help. downloaded new copy, un/reinstalled - no help. run antivirus - nothing. waited 2 hours - nada. defrag and optimize disk. still nothing. And tried other things I can't remember now.
HP Envy laptop, Win 10 with updates - that was another try with no help. Computer is slow and lots of momentary hangups which does nothing for my frustration.

Any ideas???

Sorry to see you've had problems with fix selected working. You certainly tried a lot of things to fix this. :)
