The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Ad.SmartApps" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
Ad.SmartApps installs a Browser Helper Object (BHO). It is related to AD.BenchUp.
Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "Gigantic Savings-repairJob" and pointing to "wscript.exe ?<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Gigantic Savings\repair.js?".

Installed Software List:

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "Gigantic Savings".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Gigantic Savings\SoftwareDetector.exe".
The file at "<$LOCALAPPDATA>\Gigantic Savings\Uninstall.exe".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Gigantic Savings\FrameworkBHO.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Gigantic Savings\FrameworkBHO64.dll".
The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Gigantic Savings\FrameworkEngine.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Ad.SmartApps uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Delete the registry key "{4A500D2A-649F-4489-8314-02CBD164220A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{5B373C1E-C8F8-474C-88A0-44C2D53ABB7E}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{5E03F00A-4351-4E85-B009-A82DECA8FF10}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{5E03F00A-4351-4E85-B009-A82DECA8FF10}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy".
Delete the registry key "{F752AC6D-E26A-4AB3-99DE-7C85268E327F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{F752AC6D-E26A-4AB3-99DE-7C85268E327F}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "{F7E7AC1D-E250-4ACF-8498-4C85E88EEA7F}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "Gigantic Savings" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry value "{F752AC6D-E26A-4AB3-99DE-7C85268E327F}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Ext\CLSID\".
Delete the registry value "32116" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
If Ad.SmartApps uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
