I have used Spybot for a number of years; my current version is professional S&D + AV 2.7
I have it on two computers, under two separate subscriptions. One computer has Windows 10, the other still has Windows 7: both are affected in the same way.
Several months ago, I found that I could not re-scan either of my computers - after a scan had already been completed, and the problems "fixed" - until after my computer(s) were rebooted.
This was not the case previously: I could begin a new scan immediately after "fixing" problems, to make sure that everything had been removed: now, that is not the case.
My fear is that another program may have infected my computers and rendered spybot incapable of actually identifying malware.
Does anyone have any experience with an inability to start a scan without first rebooting? If so, does this indicate a problem of some type, and is there a fix?
