here's what happened:
a few days ago i noticed spybot-S&D was no longer installed on my computer. i found this odd, because i didn't remove it. i think some kind of malicious program deleted it without me knowing about it. when i try to connect to safer-networking.org (and other spyware removal websites like adaware) i get an error message that says "connection refused". i can connect to these websites from another computer on the same network. i was able to download spybot elsewhere, but it wont update, so it cant run. i downloaded and ran adaware, and it found and fixed several problems. but the above-mentioned problems persisted. i ran norton antivirus scan but it came up clean. What should i do? tell me if you need any more info. your help is much apprieciated.
