View Full Version : Has Spybot made a mistake
My computer won't boot. I used SpyBot to do a scan and it recommended deleting a registy key. I think it was HKLM or something similar. I am thinking that SpyBot has made a big mistake. Is there any way to see a log of what was done? I am trying to attach the HD to another computer. When Windows starts it says there are no administrator accounts as if SpyBot deleted a root key of the registry.
You could ask for help from Spybot support. Please see here:

I have used the contact form. There has been no reply after 6 days.
Okay, I sent a message to tashi. :)
I still don't know what registyry key was deleted. I have restored a backup but I have a backup of the faulty drive.
Hello,
I sent support a link to this thread.
Kind regards,
tashi.
I ran a SpyBot scan again to see if it does the same detection as before. It found Virtumonde.sdn. There is a registry key in HKLM. It is a trojan-VM-007 rule D5A89F9E. I can't let it delete it again obviously.
