I am unable to locate my AVG log. I ran the scan, it came up clean and I then uninstalled the app. I'm wanting to be sure my HJT scan is looking free of the garbage which is affecting it. Thanks so much for your help. I followed your removal instructions, I simply missed your posting instruction. :oops:

OK, listen up, it is your computer and I will take your word for the fact that the AVG Anti-Spyware scan was clean.

The SmitfraudFix files you posted is of the "Search" and it is done with an out of date version of SmitfraudFix SmitFraudFix v2.104.
the current version is v2.106. I strongly suggest you delete the old version and download the new one. You must run the "clean" function, what you showed me thus far only located the junk. Here is a link with the instructions:

Clean:
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode (before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually)
Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select 2 and hit Enter to delete infect files.
You will be prompted: Do you want to clean the registry ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found): Replace infected file ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to restore a clean file.
A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process. The report can be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Optional:
To restore Trusted and Restricted site zone, select 3 and hit Enter.
You will be prompted: Restore Trusted Zone ? answer Y (yes) and hit Enter to delete trusted zone.

Note, if you use SpywareBlaster and/or IE-SPYAD, it will be necessary to re-install the protection both afford. For SpywareBlaster, run the program and re-protect all items. For IE-SPYAD, run the batch file and reinstall the protection.

I need to see the HJT log that is run AFTER you clean with version v2.106.
This HJT log IS NOT clean yet. I see evidence of PurityScan and Smitfraudfix will not remove it, and other junk.

Microsoft AntiSpyware is still showing in the HJT log and should be removed as it is obsolete. Windows Defender replaces it. It may just be a line in the log and I will schedule removal.

How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Start > Control Panel > Add Remove programs and uninstall PRINTV~1\ if there. I suggest you uninstall any program you know does not belong there. If you are unsure, let me know and I will look.

We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
Open Windows Defender, Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

You HJT log appears clean of malware:bigthumb: if you are experiencing no malware issues, I would say you are good to go.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
