My pc had been acting up for a while, constantky freezing one of my files in c:
everytime I tried to either delete or simply brwose through the file, it froze!
I didn't pay too much attention as I should have done.
To make a long story short, a pop-up window appeared in a page I was navigating and from then on I kept beind redirected in two languages to microsoft update pages and they even provided me with my IP address in a message they finally sent as a sort of a mild threat, if I can say that as being mild. Later I had a professional taking care of the pc situation and fortunatelly fixed it.
Windows update will try any and everything for them to catch you and intimidate. I'm still very shaky and nervous about the whole thing. I took the day of and I'm trying to relax, but it was awful and pathetic to be cornered that way. Watch out and best of luck to everyone.
