Ive run several programs that include: Spydoctor , Ad-Aware SE , SB S&D , Trojan Remover, Xoftspy SE , and Norton anti-virus but I cant shake this trojan.

Almost all of them detect it , prompt me to remove it , say they do , then prompt me to reboot and they'll do a scan at start up , *Note* I dont run these all at the same time , I disable the other when I gave a attempt to the other to remove it.

Also Xoftspy SE detects the vundo trojan on my pc and makes no refernce to the Trojan.Popuper , are they one in the same?

Ive searched on your forums about the Vondu and downloaded the removal tool , have yet to run it cause I want some feed back before I venture futher and run the risk of damaging my pc. Thanks in advance this thing is causing me alot of problems

1) These hackers have figured out how to hide the junk from HJT. Once you get the HJT.exe in a safe, permanent folder, then right click the .exe and rename to to anything you wish, jdblair5.exe will work. Restart the computer and the next log will show what is hidden.

2) I am concerned about this entry: O21 - SSODL: incestuously - {03413bf7-e34c-445b-bfc0-a2b127255871} - (no file)
This can indicate the presence of the Smitfraud trojan. Follow these directions to find out if it is present:
Please download SmitfraudFix (http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip) (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck: Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck: Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.

Im having a problem finding the HiJack this in the Temp file , which is to say I cant find the temp file , other wise I believe I did everything else in structed , I updated the Java (runtime ?) and did the smitfraud

We will clean out that Temp folder in just a moment, you seem to have moved HJT here:
C:\Documents and Settings\JYD\Desktop\HijackThis.exe
I consider it unsafe on the Desktop because it can be dangerous if accessed and used by unauthorized folks. If you insist on running it from there, please create a folder to store the logs and backups. I would prefer you put it here: C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe. You also need to rename it as suggested so we can see if any Vundo infection is left in the log.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
You will run a little slower while Windows repopulates the Prefetch folder.

I made HJT a folder , and moved it from my desktop (though i do have a short cut on my desktop for it , is that ok) I dled and used the ATF cleaner , I renamed the HJT.exe that i moved , and posted the new hjt file log

That's no problem, you can now see the junk hidden. The hackers hide Vundo but it also makes a lot of other junk hidden along with the Vundo trojan.
You also need to know this was a badly infected computer.

We still have problems with the Vundo trojan, looks like you had more than one infection. This is the one that has not been deleted yet.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmnlk.dll If you uninstalled Vundofix, download it again, run it until it shows it has deleted that item. Make sure you upload that file to Atribune if you would.

Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com

Once all Vundo infections are showing as "deleted", then do this:

Start Hijackthis
Click on the Config button
Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the button labeled Delete a file on reboot...
A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winwil32.dll and click on it once, and then click on the Open button.
You will now be asked if you would like to reboot your computer to delete the file. Click on the Yes button if you would like to reboot now.
(if successful it will show is the log as (file missing)

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(delete the first R0 if you don't want that for a HomePage)

Well, we still have work to do. Something is stopping the items from being removed and the only program I see is Spyware Doctor.
Go here: http://wiki.castlecops.com/Malware_Removal:_Temporarily_Disable_Real_Time_Monitoring_Programs and follow the instructions the disable Spyware Doctor so we can use HJT to remove this junk.

Once that is done, then do this:

Start Hijackthis
Click on the Config button
Click on the Misc Tools button
Click on the button labeled Delete a file on reboot...
A new window will open asking you to select the file that you would like to delete on reboot. Navigate to the file: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winwil32.dll and click on it once , and then click on the Open button.
(you can copy/paste the complete path if you wish, that should work)
You will now be asked if you would like to reboot your computer to delete the file. Click on the Yes button if you would like to reboot now. This is a trojan, once you have followed these directions, it should appear in the log with the (file missing)

Once you have complete the above, then do this:

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

If you have not downloaded and run ATF-Cleaner, do so now.

Save it to your Desktop. Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

If you have problems trying to remove the junk you need to tell me about it. These items should remove easily and you have killed the tough ones (vundo). If you can think of any other program, like something that is part of Symantec/Norton I am not aware of, turn it off until you finish with HJT.

Post a new log, and all going according to plan, it should be clean.

i ran the vundo remover again , find nothing ran every spy/addware thing i got.....nothing. hows it look to you?

OK, you are almost there:bigthumb: One BHO is still hanging on. I can't get information, Google has nothing on the .dll as well as the clsid. Turn Spyware Doctor off and use HJT to remove this BHO:

It may have been missed the last time you ran HJT. Once you reboot, look to make sure it is gone. If it should still be there, then use the Delete on Reboot tool on it. Post a new HJT log so I can be sure it is gone. I am going to post this information for you now so you can review it. I was wondering where you picked up this infestation, any idea?

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:
