Hi guys

Please could you see if you are able to help / advise me on how to get rid of what appears to be some sort of dialer trojan that has managed to get on my machine. I am really annoyed, as I have been surfing the net for years now, and have managed to avoid any problems like this before.

I am running Norton Antivirus (ok ok, I know it causes lots of problems, but it suits my usage). This is identifying that there is something on my machine, but cannot do anything about it.

Here is my HijackThis Log:

I have now noticed that whatever I have inherited has got its hands on my internet connection, and is randomly booting my connection when it feels like it. Furthermore, I have found a connection called "ENTER" when I go through "START" / "CONNECT TO", I have tried to delete this, however it re-appears quicker than I can click my mouse!

I'm sure that all of this will be related, but just thought that this may help you.

Once again, many thanks in advance

Alex

Welcome to the forum

If your not already recieving help in another forum post back with a fresh Hijackthis log please, but first correct its location.

Your running Hijackthis from a temp and/Or it still hasnt been unzipped, neither is a good idea.
Create a new folder, for instance C:\AntiSpyware
Download the exe from here to that new folder.
http://www.merijn.org/files/HijackThis.exe
This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong
Make and post a new log
