View Full Version : updates from spybotupdates.biz?
I downloaded some updates for spybot, but I noticed the Ignore list looked a bit different now.
Each tab has a duplicate tab with a "C" added next to it; i.e, Hijackers.sbi, HijackersC.sbi, Keyloggers.sbi, KeyloggersC.sbi, etc etc for each folder. After updating, my BHO for blocking bad sites was disabled.
The downloads came from a site that popped up when I hit the "update" button, spybotupdates.biz.
Is this legit? Doesn't look right at all. Help!

hello. newbie here. md usa, or someone, i have the same problem with 'C' added to updated files, as noted below. I do not understand the answer to the problem which is posted, please explain...
Also, beginning next week, the size of the weekly update files will be reduced as we're optimizing the process of downloading only changes. As a result of this, users using the advanced mode in Spybot-S&D will probably notice additional filesets; those ending in the letter C are new ones containing the most up-to-date detection rules.

According to the article, the filesets with the letter C after them are new ones containing the most up-to-date detection rules. So,when you look under File Sets the ones with C after them are new,and I'd assume the tabs in ignore products with C after them is just letting you see what's new for detections. It's nothing bad.
