XP update notifications

I have Windows XP update notifications for virus, firewall, etc. inactive. I use other programs and do not need this service.

Whenever I run Spybot to check for problems, I always get a 'hit' in this catagory.

Is there a way to disable Spybot from always detecting these?

I presume you meant to post in the Spybot forum?

You can exclude detection of individual items from further searches, as it tells you if you slide open the info panel (grey button on the right of Soybot's scan results paage).
