View Full Version : mfcCHE.dll
I have been advised by an Spybot team previously to remove:
Windows/system32/mfcCHE.dll via Hijackthis.
However, in Spybot's "System Startup" it's showing as
Winlogon mfcCHE.dll.
Should I remove this one also?
(I have asked the team about this & haven't got a response?)
Also, how can I know if I'm safe to give out personal details as bank details online?
Thank you.
I have been advised by an Spybot team previously to remove:
Hello
Was this via email, who was advising you? :)

Hello,
Yes ...it was our team that advised to delete this file.
Because it seems suspicious - as it is total unknown - and not installed by himself.
But as he is searching for help also here in the forum we will cancel the e-mail support.

Hi Dharma.
Please run the Spybot-S&D and on-line anti virus scans (separately) as shown here:
"BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps and scanning with SPYBOT-S&D (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)
Then start your own thread in the malware forum:
Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22)
Once you have posted, a helper will take a look at the logs as soon as available and give any further instructions necessary.
As to:
Also, how can I know if I'm safe to give out personal details as bank details online?
That very much depends on your surfing habits and the manner in which you have secured your PC; once we see a log we will be able to advise you further.
Cheers.
I have been waiting for a reply from the Spybot team & since I didn't get an answer I thougth I'd post here. I'm sorry for any confusion caused.
I have Symantec's latest anti-virus & Window's Defender but they haven't detected anything.
Thank you kindly for your help.

Hi there, it's no problem at all. :)
If you go ahead and follow the procedure I posted above, I will get someone to take a look at the log.
Cheers.
