Error message - and check stops

I've relied on this wonderful program for years. But since I updated several months ago, it goes only about 1/4 through the check, then displays the error message: "Error during check! Mailbot [Datei C\Windows\win.ini kann nicht geoffnet werden. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.]"

After I get this message, the check stops, and I get "Congatulations! No immediate threats were found." But that is premature, since I know the check has really only begun...

What should I do? I am sure there is spyware on my computer, but it doesn't continue long enough to find it. Is there a way to fix this?

What operating system do you have?And what version of Spybot?If you're not sure,you can click Help,then About.

You seem to be using a dated version of Spybot-S&D.
Please download our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4. That should fix it.

Please search for new updates after installing Spybot-S&D 1.4.
