View Full Version : Free Scan full page pop up
Help,
Im using Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware, and also installed Zone Alarm Security Suite.
Ive ran numerious scans, from all three, and each time im knocking out one or two.
But, Ive got one pop-up that I have not been able to find as of yet...
It looks like its from Microsoft, says :
SYSTEM SECURITY CENTER ALERT
Remove All Spyware from your PC.
Click here for your FREE SCAN
The Address that shows on the pop-up is: res://shdoclc/syntax.htm#scan
Any suggestions?

Removing it with hijackthis should remove the pop-up, but I would also like you to run this program...
Download: SmitfraudFix.zip from :-
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip (the file contains both English and French versions)
1. Download to your desktop
2. unzip the zip file to your desktop (they will be extracted to a folder called SmitfraudFix
3. Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
4. Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files
5. find the C:\rapport.txt file and post the contents in your next post here...
Then run spybot again & if you are still getting anything, please post the spybot log entry of what it finds...

process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool". It is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
