WIN32.TROJAN.DOWNLOADER Removal Question/Help

Hi! I ran adaware SE last night and it found and cleaned "WIN32.TROJAN.DOWNLOADER.". I ran spybot and symantec afterwards and they didn't pick up anything. However, I am a little paranoid that it might not have removed everything because my computer does seem to be running slower than usual.
Any info you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, if your issues are not resolved, let me give you a little information and we will go from there if need be.

At the very least a resource waster, I suggest you use Add Remove programs to uninstall it.

Your Java program is out of date, see this information: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=12880&postcount=2 Unfortunately the Vundo trojan is a downloader and hackers are hiding it from HJT. It would seem if it was present, that you would know it, it is a prolific popup maker, usually directing you to rouge spyware products like Winfixer. The absense of BHO's in your log make me think it may be present, we can find out in the next step if you wish.

You HJT log is running from a Temp folder and that is unsafe, backups will be lost. I prefer you move it here: C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe If you need more instructions, use these:

Once it is relocated, right click the .exe and rename it to MK0000.exe or whatever you wish. The next HJT log after a reboot should show us the trojan if it is present.

If you wish a good cleaning to see if that helps, use these instructions:

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Keep in mind the computer will run slower for a few boots after cleaning the Prefetch. If you keep Prefetch clean on a regular basis, you may skip it during the cleaning.
