When I try to do Step #2 with Killbox, I get the following error:

PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!

Should I go ahead and reboot and do Step #3?

Also, after doing Step #1 with HJT, I re-ran HJT and

O20 - Winlogon Notify: tcpdoc - C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB828028$\tcpdoc.dll

Is still there.

Hi

You might have Vundo, so let's try vundofix first:

Uninstall these:

LimeShop
Viewpoint Media Player

Please download VundoFix.exe (http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4) to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once the scan is complete, Right Click inside the listbox (white box) and click add more files
Copy&Paste the 2 entries below into the top 2 boxes

o C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB828028$\tcpdoc.dll
o C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB828028$\codpct.*

Click Add Files and Click Close Window
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.[/list]

Done.

Nothing found with VundoScan. I did however use it to remove the 2 files. Here's a fresh HJT log and Uninstall List.

LimeShop won't uninstall. When I click Change/Remove I get an hour-glass pointer for a second, then it goes away and nothing happens. I looked in the folders that HJT said the uninstall Info was pointing to, and the .xml file is not there.

Hi

In that case, go to uninstall manager, select Limeshop and click delete this entry.

Open HijackThis, click do a system scan only and checkmark this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LimeShop] javaw -cp "C:\Program Files\LimeShop\System\Code" Main lp: "C:\Program Files\LimeShop"

Close all windows including browser and press fix checked.

Reboot

Delete if present:

C:\Program Files\LimeShop

Empty Recycle Bin

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner (http://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/kws/kavwebscan.html). You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
The program will launch and then start to download the latest definition files.
Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click Next.
Now click on Scan Settings
In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:

o Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:

+ Extended (If available otherwise Standard)

o Scan Options:

+ Scan Archives
+ Scan Mail Bases

Click OK
Now under select a target to scan select My Computer
The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
Now click on the Save as Text button
Save the file to your desktop.
Copy and paste that information in your next post along with a fresh HijackThis log.

Ok, since the last Post, I have deleted all the restore points... I thought I had disabled system restore a long time ago, apparently I had turned it back on at some point, it's off from this point forward.

Looking over the log it would appear I am dealing with (Atleast).

Win32.WebHancer.390
Win32.Tenga.a
Win32.Softomate.u
Win32.VB.tg
Win32.Agent.baf
Win32.Small.cyh
Win32.VB.atp
Win32.MediaMotor.t
Win32.SaveNow.bj
Win32.CommAd.a
Win32.ZenoSearch.o
Win32.MediaMotor.

Hi

Please re-enable system restore; even an infected restore point is better than no restore points at all.

And Norton isn't bad av; no av can detect all viruses.

Empty this folder:

C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\

Delete this folder:

C:\WINDOWS\Sm9lIE1hYnJleQ\

Empty Recycle Bin

Please run Killbox.

Select "Delete on Reboot" and "All files"

Copy the file names below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing Control-C:

C:\Program Files\em\dohancer\whCC-GIANT3.exe
C:\sstray.exe
C:\WINDOWS\71723724.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ac3_0002.exe
C:\WINDOWS\elitepop06.exe
C:\WINDOWS\elitesix.ocx
C:\WINDOWS\hancerdoem.exe
C:\WINDOWS\MirarSetup_876057.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Setup90.exe
C:\WINDOWS\TIELT001.exe
C:\WINDOWS\unstall.exe

Go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here (http://www.eudaemonia.me.uk/downloads/Files/missingfilesetup.exe) to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again..

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

Empty this folder -> C:\!KillBox

Re-scan with kaspersky

Send:

- a fresh HijackThis log
- kaspersky report

C:\WINDOWS\Sm9lIE1hYnJleQ\

That folder isn't there. I'm not sure what happened to it, but it's gone already. I do have Show Hidden and System files turned on.

I'm getting ready to run Kaspersky now.

Hi

That folder is there, anyway.

We'll try a batch file next:

Save text below as remcmd.bat to desktop (save it as all files (*.*))

@ECHO OFF
attrib -r -h C:\WINDOWS\Sm9lIE1hYnJleQ\*.*
del /a /f /q C:\WINDOWS\Sm9lIE1hYnJleQ\*.*
RD /s /q "C:\WINDOWS\Sm9lIE1hYnJleQ"

Doubleclick remcmd.bat on desktop. Black dos window will flash; that's normal.

Re-scan with kaspersky

Send:

- a fresh HijackThis log
- kaspersky report

Yea, I see it still showing up in the scans, but was just saying I can't find it when I try to browse to it or explore to it... creating that batch now, will run it and post the results ASAP.

For some reason, the Kaspersky online scan won't initialize. The blue bars on
Initialize Kaspersky Online Scanner
(downloading and installing Kaspersky Online Scanner ActiveX from the server into your computer)
Just keep going back and forth, nothing ever happens.
