Can anyone help me please? I'm PC confused.

Hello.

Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum..

I have a number of things that one of my spyware scanners is picking up, and can't remove.

Spybot doesn't see them, but I think they need to be removed nonetheless.

I have

sfonditalia
New dial
Media Motor

All three are registry values listed as "severe risk"

The google search returned the sfonditalia as a hijacker..any ideas?

And, how the heck did they get there?

I use Firefox, hubby uses IE. We have set to "prompt" for any cookies and incoming downloads..any clues?

Thanks for helping..I am ok with some stuff, but I don't want to be randomly removing stuff without a clue.

Then start your own thread in the malware forum:

Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22)

Once you have posted, a helper will take a look at the logs as soon as available and give any further instructions necessary.
