Hello

I'm new to this evil spying ****, someone has installed Activity Logger from Deep Software on my girlfriends computer, I told her to give Spybot a go so she downloaded it and gave it a run, will this have cleared the program off her machine completely?
will it be hiding ?

She's not too sure on computers (aww bless) so can anyone here tell me if she's ok now, or had this removed from your own machine using SB or another way, thanks.

if I get my hands on the **** who put it on there!!

Hi there. :)

If you would like to post a Spybot S&D log so that we can check the System please do the following:

Spybot-S&D version 1.4
Version 1.4 :Systems Supported (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html )

Close all browsers
Open SpyBot, check for and get any updates available
Check for problems and fix everything found in red
Then on the toolbar menu select mode and switch to advanced mode, on the left lower down select tools, and view report, ensure all the options are selected near the bottom except

Uncheck[ ] do not report disabled or known legitimate Items.
Uncheck[ ] Include a list of services in report.
Uncheck[ ] Include uninstall list in report.

Now select (near the top) view report.
Click export and in the 'save in' box choose a place such as your my documents folder; then in your next post near the bottom select the "browse" button, navigate to and attach or post that report.

Cheers.

Hi

If that keylogger was there it would have been seen in the log as
Activity Logger: Program group (Directory, fixed)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Activity Logger
Activity Logger: Program directory (Directory, fixed)
C:\Program Files\Activity Logger\

I believe your norton program would have detected it also unless someone set it to be excluded
see http://www.sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/spyware.activitylog.html
Dont edit the registry unless you are already familur with it, realy no need to do so once the
"Activity Logger" folder is deleted.
These additional folders can be safely deleted >
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AL
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lgr
