just wanted to drop a quick solution to a prob that held up my installation of Spybot...
Symptom:
Could not download the installation files from within the setup program, I'd get the message "error sending request" and be forced to retry or fail.
Solution:
In my case, I run Zone Alarm and had logged into the PC under a different user account to circumvent spyware issues under my primary account. This account that I was on currently didn't auto-launch Zone Alarm, and that program is set to deny other programs access to the Internet unless itself is running so it can query you on whether or not the app in question gets to access the Internet..
So long story short, if you run Zone Alarm:
:lip: MAKE SURE IT"S RUNNING WHEN YOU RUN AN INSTALLER THAT NEEDS TO TALK TO THE INTERNET, OTHERWISE IT WILL FAIL AND GIVE YOU NO MESSAGE! :lip:
